What is Distance Reiki?

Kat‘s distance reiki healing involves the transferring of healing energy from a practitioner to a client by phone or through a communication platform available on the internet. During the session, the energy healer focuses on their intention, which is to heal, and channels the life force energy into their client’s body. Distant Reiki sessions work because energy is not limited by distance. Distance is only a physical limitation, so sessions can be done without clients being physically present. We are all connected, as we are all energy matter and part of a larger whole.

Reiki can be sent to yourself, or your home, if you are wanting to raise the vibration and energy of your home.

How do I prepare for a Distance Reiki Session?

Create a peaceful environment, whether that is going outside at work and finding a park bench in the sun, or sitting under a tree for 10-20 minutes. If you’re at home, sit in your favourite meditation space, a beautiful spot in your backyard, or lie on your bed if you feel like a rest. Anywhere you feel safe and know you are not going to be disturbed for the duration of the call. Log on for your healing session and relax. Kat will let you know when the healing is complete.

Are there any risk to health or side effects of Distance Reiki? What can I expect?

There are no known side effect of Reiki. Kat is a Certified Reiki Master but she is also trained in Spiritual Healing, Clinical Hypnotherapy and First Aid. She therefore operates to high ethical standards.

People often comment how comforting and relaxing they find the experience of Reiki to be. An interesting study reported that recipients frequently feel that they are hovering in a threshold state of consciousness, simultaneously aware of their surroundings and deeply indrawn.

Breath work

What is Breath work?

“Breath work is ultimately a practice that changes rhythm, volume and capacity of breathing. The reason why that’s important is our breathing state changes our nervous system and our nervous system governs all of our organs including regulatory function of endocrine system, which is our blood chemistry and that changes how we think and perceive the world, which changes how we live. So, if we change our breathing we change how we live.”

Edward Dangerfield

When we consciously connect to our breath, we are connecting to our life force, our spiritual essence and the source energy. Your breath brings oxygen into your body so that you can experience physical life, live and thrive. When you are physically or emotionally stressed, it affects how you breathe. Breath work helps to calm and destress the body, mind, spirit and soul. It can bring balance to the body. The basic idea of breath work is to harness the bodies natural energy and bring relaxation to the nervous system. When you breath in, you stimulate the nervous system, when you breath out, you rest it and release toxins and stress from the body. By harnessing the natural healing properties of the breath, we affect the level of oxygen in the body and the signals to the brain, affecting the brain chemistry and releasing tension from the mind, body and soul. My experience suggests that it also releases emotional and energetic blocks in the body, mind and soul, helping us to let go of unnecessary tension.

These breathing techniques, can help restore our innate balance and overall feeling and sense of well being and vitality but they can also enhance our spiritual journeys, having at times profound affects. Breathing changes how our nervous system works and can affect our blood biochemistry and influence brain waves. It changes the endocrine system, our hormonal balance, and it influences how we feel. Breath work can help destress the body, create energy shifts, release energy blocks and create big shifts and openings in your spiritual development, generating transformative change. Breath work can influence how we feel and boost our emotional capacity and resilience. It really is a journey of self discovery and everyone reacts differently because we are all unique. My personal experiences with breath work have been transformative both spiritually, having a positive knock on effect to my health, well being and vitality.

What are the benefits of Breath work?

When we suppress our emotions for long enough, those energy signals and memory gets transferred and stored in the subconscious mind or our bodies. There are occasions when we may still feel them but sometimes we are not aware of them. This was what what I discovered when I first began practicing breath work with a practitioner. I had extremely profound and powerful experiences, which suggested to me that major energetic changes were arising on many levels, spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically.

Sometimes during grief, we also feel numb and disconnect or disassociate with our feelings. We may have freeze or fight flight responses, find it hard to focus and concentrate, feel depressed, suffer from anxiety, heightened sensitivity, become easily triggered and have an inability to face or tolerate certain situations.

“Traumatic symptoms are not caused by the event itself. They arise when residual energy from the experience is not discharged from the body. Energy remains trapped in the nervous system where it can wreak havoc on our bodies and minds.”– Peter A Levine, PhD

This is what we are trying to target and release when we look at breath work. We are looking to create energy releases and suppressed emotions, that potentially automate patterns of behaviours that are generating issues in our current life, our health, our vitality and our well being.
